Louise Trueheart (hi!) is a Berlin-based performer, writer, and dramaturg. I am going to switch to the first person.

Thinking through writing, writing about dancing, dancing about God, attempting the transcendent in the theater, serving the work, working in collaboration, noticing the other, being in the imminent, embracing the chaos, feeling the nuance, being together despite it all… these are some of the ways I like to explore the politics of belief and how they play out in the body, in community, and on much larger scales.

5, 6, 7, 8, is the name of my substack about dance and devotion. You can subscribe to on the lower left of this page. It’s a place where I think out loud, share memes, share thoughts on art or dance I’ve seen or travel I have undertaken, and where I sometimes invite others into dialogue.

On the words page is a list of texts I’ve published. On the works page is a list of performances I have authored. My CV is floating around on this page, in case you want to see the list of rockstars I have collaborated with as a performer or dramaturg. There isn’t a spot on this site where I can explain the work I have done in collectives, so I want to take some space for them here, on my about page. You’ll see a section on COVEN BERLIN and PAF further down (coming soon!). You’ll also see a list of links to other artist’s websites (links coming!). These people form the type of collective that can be called community: my friends and collaborators whose work want to link to here.
